Bring all personal prescriptions and essentials, including eyewear spares. Prescription refills are not always readily available in Egypt.
We recommend a small medical kit including:
Basic first aid items (bandages, antiseptic, pain relievers)
Diarrhea treatment (Pepto-Bismol, Imodium, electrolyte powders)
Motion sickness tablets
Insect repellent and anti-itch cream
High SPF sunscreen, aloe vera lotion, wide-brim hat, sunglasses
Hand sanitizer and baby wipes
💧 Please consider all tap water in Egypt as non-drinkable. Bottled water is provided for drinking and brushing teeth.
No mandatory vaccinations required for entry.
WHO guidelines recommend:
Avoiding raw or undercooked poultry and eggs
Avoiding animal markets or farms
Washing and sanitizing hands regularly
Seeking medical care if flu-like symptoms occur
Currency: Egyptian Pound (E£). Notes: 5–200. Coins: 1 E£.
Exchanges: Best rates via Egyptian ATMs—your guide can assist.
Cards: Visa & Mastercard widely accepted; Apple Pay/contactless less common.

No head covering required, but please dress respectfully in religious sites.
